About Our Organization
The North State Physical Therapy Foundation was established with a clear mission: to support physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in discovering meaningful career opportunities in Northern California's North State region while strengthening healthcare access in our communities.
As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, we are committed to operating transparently and serving the public interest. Our services to physical therapists are provided completely free of charge, funded through donations and community support.
What This Means for You
For Physical Therapists: Our services to help you explore career opportunities in the North State are completely free. We are funded through community support and donations, not through fees to job seekers.
For Donors: Contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We appreciate your support in strengthening healthcare access across the North State region.
Regarding Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF): As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, employment with the Foundation may satisfy the employer qualification requirement for PSLF. However, PSLF eligibility involves multiple requirements beyond employer status, and individual circumstances vary significantly. The Foundation cannot guarantee PSLF eligibility for any candidate. Final PSLF determinations are made solely by the U.S. Department of Education based on individual loan status, repayment history, and employment certification. We recommend that anyone considering PSLF:
- Review current eligibility requirements at StudentAid.gov
- Consult with a federal student loan advisor
- Submit an Employment Certification Form (ECF) after beginning employment
- Understand that PSLF qualification is an individual responsibility
